Turkish fighter jets bomb Sideka town in Hewler

Turkish fighter jets have bombed Sideka town in Soran territory last night. Orchards and gardens of villagers suffered great damages and widespread fires broke out on the landscape.

Sideka town in Soran (Diyana) district of Hewler was bombed by Turkish fighter jets for hours last night. Reports say the villagers in the area suffered great losses.

Southern Kurdistan Regional Ministry of Environment Spokesperson Semed Mihemed said the Ministry is following the matter, and they have launched an investigation for damage control.

Semed Mihemed pointed out that Turkish airstrikes have caused great damages in Sideka region this year and voiced his reaction by saying: “In some regions, our people can’t go to the highlands due to the attacks. And the Southern Kurdistan regional government has yet to give a strong reaction against the attacks.”
