Clashes are getting heavier in Amed's central Sur district where state forces have intensified their attacks upon the extension of the curfew to more areas earlier today.

There is an intense ambulance mobilization in the district amid reports of heavy casualties inflicted on Turkish military and police forces.

According to initial reports by the Turkish state, one police and one sergeant has died, while 6 soldiers and 2 special operation members got wounded in the district of Sur today. Yet, reports by local sources say the number of casualties is higher.

The aggression on neighborhoods of Sur district has intensified after District Governor's Office declared indefinite curfew on Abdaldede, Alipaşa, Lalebey, Süleyman Nazif and Ziya Gökalp neighborhoods and Melikahmet Street as of 11:30 today.
