People's Defense Forces Press Office (HPG-BIM) released a statement reporting ongoing strikes by Turkish aircraft on Southern Kurdistan territory.
According to the statement,
Turkish fighter jets bombed the surroundings of Golika village and houses in Seferi village in Amadiya district of Duhok at between 01.00 – 01.30 on January 14.
The bombardment on Seferi village left two houses completely demolished and many others damaged, in addition to damages it inflicted on the fields and orchards of local residents.
Turkish jets also shelled the surroundings of the Cemetery of Martyrs in Metina area of guerrilla-held Medya Defense Zones at between 01.00 - 01.30 and 04.30 – 05.00 last night. The bombardment caused damages on the cemetery.
HPG underlined that: "The Turkish military that knows no limits in the dirty war it wages has once again shown its despicable face by attacking the graveyards where our guerrillas are buried. It must be known that we will not remain silent on these attacks that have no place in any law of war and also target civilian areas."
