Turkish jets have conducted consecutive low altitude flights over Amed's central Sur district where a state of siege continues for 79 uninterrupted days. The aerial activity came after yesterday's announcements of imminent airstrikes, as was reported by DIHA reporter Mazlum Dolan who is among hundreds trapped in several basements.
The low altitude flights were conducted by Turkish jets that took off from Diyarbakır 8th Main Jet Base at 14:53 today afternoon, which resounded throughout the entire city.
DİHA reporter Mazlum Dolan who is in Sur yesterday sent a SMS from a basement where he took refuge with some families, saying; "The situation is bad. We are in a basement together with families. A massacre similar to Cizre could take place here very soon. Heavy clashes are going on, and the area where we are is being bombed intensely by mortar and tank strikes. They (state forces) are making announcements, saying "We will conduct airstrikes and kill you all". Take care of yourselves. Give my regards to friends".
Turkish forces in Sur had made similar announcements before, like the one in the morning of February 9th when they threatened people with calls from armored vehicles, saying "Surrender of we will conduct airstrikes".
