Seyithan Durdu, a 40-year-old citizen living in Avzêrk village in Saray district of Van, was attacked by Turkish soldiers on Saturday.
Durdu, who was riding on horseback towards Rêya Laz'a region around 04.00 in the morning, was targeted by fire from a military vehicle of the Turkish army on the road to Axûrk neighbourhood.
Eyewitnesses stated that Durdu fell off his horse and was seriously wounded. He was taken to Özalp State Hospital with the help of the local people.
According to reports, Seyithan Durdu died due to internal bleeding before he was taken to the hospital. His body was taken to Van for post mortem examination.
