As a result of rockets fired from Turkish state planes, a fire broke out in the village of Yekmale in the Bergarê area of South Kurdistan's Amadiya district.

Many trees and animals were burned in the fire. More detailed information on the attack could not be obtained.

The Turkish state has been systematically bombing the region for months. While civilian settlements are targeted directly, chemical weapons are used against the guerrillas.

Due to the attacks carried out by the Turkish state, tens of villages in South Kurdistan were forcibly evacuated and thousands of people were forced to migrate.
