Turkish warplanes continued to bomb Asos mountain in Southern Kurdistan last night.
According to local sources Turkish warplanes dropped five bombs on Asos mountain, located near Sulaymaniyah, on the border between Rojhilat (Eastern) and Bashur (Southern) Kurdistan at 02:30 last night.
Turkish aircraft had shelled the mountain Sunday noon.
Turkey’s airstrikes on Asos continue since November. Local sources report activity of Iranian reconnaissance aircraft before Turkish aerial bombardments.
Talks between the Iranian and Turkish states have recently intensified as the two countries act together against the Kurdish people. Attacks on Asos are viewed as a joint effort of the two states.
In a recent interview with ANF, Zilan Vejin, Co-chair of Eastern Kurdistan’s PJAK, stated that Iran was in a dirty alliance against Kurds.
