Police forces raided a number of houses in Hacıbekir (Xaçort) neighbourhood of Van's central İpekyolu (Reya Armûşê) district late yesterday evening. Ferzinde Yacan and Abdulbaki Yacan were taken into custody in the operation.

Detained Ferzinde Yacan's 12-year-old daughter was also taken to Van provincial directorate to translate for her father who does not know Turkish.
