State forces have killed two people in Mardin's Derik district where attacks are ongoing for 4 days. The town remains under a siege by Turkish military and police forces despite there being no curfew in effect.

While clashes in the district also continue, state forces launched a heavy aggression on Kale neighborhood yesterday. 27-year-old youth Ercan Sayan was killed in the attack.

On the other hand, it came out today that yesterday's aggression by state forces claimed another person's life. Bodies of both victims were taken to Mardin State Hospital.

Earlier today, a delegation of European Parliament members and HDP deputies attempted to enter the town but were hindered by Turkish soldiers who blocked the entrance with barriers and dozens of armored vehicles.

The EP delegation turned back to Amed upon the continued denial of access to the town.
