People’s Defence Forces (HPG) stated that their forces killed at least two Turkish soldiers and wounded another in Southern Kurdistan.
According to the statement by HPG Press and Communication Centre, Kurdish guerrillas targeted a group of Turkish soldiers at Koordine Hill in Geliye Res area in rural Diyana. HPG reported that two Turkish soldiers were killed by snipers and one other was wounded.
After the action, Turkish army bombarded the area with howitzers and mortars.
Turkish army started an invasion operation in Hill Siro, Geliyeres, Kanires and Bermize villages in the countryside of Diyana on December 14, 2017.
