Van Metropolitan Municipality announced in the past months that 60 people would be recruited through an exam. 55 people were shortlisted out of 110 people, according to the results of the interview.

However, none of those who answered all the questions asked during the interview could find a place on the list. It turned out that almost all of those on the list were relatives of AKP-MHP administrators and mayor's department heads. Some of them were hired even though they hadn’t passed the exam.
