The vigil held at the Qamishlo border against the attacks of the occupying Turkish state and the Syrian National Army (SNA) gangs against Rojava continues on its 19th day.
A vigil has been taking place in Mardin’s Nusaybin district, at the border with Qamishlo, in protest at the ongoing invasion attacks by the Turkish state and allied SNA (Syrian National Army) gangs against Northern and Eastern Syria.
The demonstration, organised under the leadership of the Free Women’s Movement (TJA), continued on its 19th day with the participation of people from Mardin and its districts, and Bitlis province.
DEM Party Bitlis Provincial Co-Chair Fikret Birlik said, “We must stand up for Rojava. The whole world should give it a voice.”
DEM Party Mardin MP Beritan Güneş Altın said, “The rain that falls here also falls in Qamishlo. Therefore, what happens here is felt there and what happens there is felt here.”
The DEM Party MP spoke about the messages conveyed by Kurdish leader Abdullah Öcalan during his meeting with DEM Party deputies in İmralı Island last week.
“Mr Abdullah Öcalan has put a plan in front of us with 7 articles on what we should do. We must embrace Mr Öcalan's ideas. Rojava is our honour. It is our demand for peace. Mr Öcalan must be free as soon as possible so that the problems in the Middle East can be resolved,” Beritan Güneş Altın said.
