Villagers in Van clear the snowed-in roads on their own
The roads have been snowed in for the last 3 days in Karasu region of Van and the Van Metropolitan Municipality seized by the government hasn’t launched any efforts yet.
The roads have been snowed in for the last 3 days in Karasu region with Akbulak, Sarımemet, Doğangün, Dağören and Suriyol villages in Van’s Muradiye district, and the Van Metropolitan Municipality hasn’t launched any efforts yet.
The recent intense snow in Van has negatively impacted daily life. Especially the snowed-in village roads are giving people a hard time.
When the appointed trustee didn’t do anything to clear the snowed in roads in the Karasu region in Van’s Muradiye district, the villagers started to fend for themselves. Villagers took their shovels to try and clear the roads from snow in the harsh mountain conditions.
