Concurrent forest fires have erupted in 10 separate areas located between Abalı outpost in Amed’s Lice district and Tapantepe outpost in Bingöl’s Genç district.

While the region on Amed-Bingöl highway is covered with intense smoke, local people who want to fight the fires are being prevented by the Turkish soldiers stationed in both outposts. The fires are rapidly spreading towards the rural areas.
