The Yazidi Free Women's Movement (TAJÊ) protested the international conspiracy against Kurdish people's leader Abdullah Öcalan with a march in Shengal.
The women marched chanting the slogan "We will liberate Leader Öcalan with the resistance of women". They marched at the checkpoint of Êzdîxan Asayish in Kers Valley, carrying pictures of Abdullah Öcalan and banners of the Yazidi organizations.
Siham Shengalî read the statement on behalf of TAJÊ. She said that 15 February is a dark day for the Kurdish people and all humanity. Shengalî said that the international conspiracy was foiled by the people's support. "The Yazidi women in Shengal create a free life in their land thanks to the thought and philosophy of Leader Apo, and build a strong-willed and organized society thanks to him. We know very well that the attacks against the Yazidis in Shengal are not different from the conspiracy against Leader Apo on 15 February 1999. As Yazidi women, we will continue to fight for the freedom of Leader Apo. By organizing ourselves and raising the struggle, we will eliminate all conspiracies."
