Workers in Halabja, Raperin and Kelar regions in Southern Kurdistan took to the streets to voice their dissent against the government not paying their salaries for years.
HALABJA
Workers gathered in front of the Halabja Governorate and protested the government not paying their salaries. The workers say the government has failed to pay their full salaries for years without any explanation and that they can only receive 30% of their wages.
Workers protesting the government submitted petitions to the Halabja Governorate to relay their demands to the government.
RAPERIN
Workers took to the streets in Raperin and demanded that the government pay their salaries and fix the working conditions.
KELAR
Workers took to the streets in the Kelar province to protest the government’s policies towards workers.
