The HPG Press Office announced the identity information of a guerrilla who fell martyr as a result of an air strike carried out by the invading Turkish army.

The HPG statement said:

“In our statement dated 30 January 2021, we confirmed that on 22 January 2021, the areas of Heci Umran and Berdesorê were bombed by Turkish warplanes and that our comrade Amed Dorşin fell martyr as a result of these bombings.

The identity information of our comrade is as follows:

Place of Birth: Hesekê

Mother's - Father's Name: Fatma - Şexmus

Date and Place of Martyrdom: 22 January 2021 / Medya Defense Areas

Having suffered severe defeats against the Kurdistan Freedom Guerrilla, the invading Turkish army brutally uses its war technology to try to cover up its defeat and show itself as successful against the guerrilla. The Kurdistan Freedom Guerrilla has become even more sharpened against Turkish colonialism. Finally, the historical victory in the Garê is an important reflection of the sacrificial spirit of the Kurdistan Freedom Guerrilla.”

The statement added: “Our comrade Amed was born into a patriotic family that paid a price in the struggle for freedom in the Hesekê area of Rojava. Our comrade Amed, who had the opportunity to get to know the Kurdistan Freedom Movement closely due to the patriotism of his family, actively participated in the revolutionary struggle with the Rojava Revolution. After studying, our comrade Amed turned to the mountains of Kurdistan in order to better understand Leader Öcalan's ideas.”
