Youth from Xurmatu who protest the military presence of the Turkish state in South Kurdistan and their preparations for a military operation there say, “This is a plan to invade Kurdistan. We as the people of South Kurdistan are against this and we will resist.”
Xurmatu youth spoke to the ANF and protested the Turkish state’s attacks on South Kurdistan.
Communist Party member from Xurmatu Hemin Barzan said Erdoğan attacked South Kurdistan to realize his Ottoman dream and invade Kurdistan and continued: “The military presence of the Turkish state in South Kurdistan is a product of the Ottoman dream. This is a plan to invade Kurdistan. We as the people of South Kurdistan are against this and we will resist. And history will never forgive the collaborating Kurds who aid the Turkish invasion.”
Ümüt Fazıl said the Turkish state was moving in for an invasion and continued: “We don’t accept the Turkish state’s presence in South Kurdistan in any way. The Turks are conducting operations on Qandil because they are here to invade all of Southern Kurdistan. In the face of that, we are prepared to sacrifice ourselves against Turkey’s attacks.”
Mihemmed Duzi said they don’t want to see invaders on the lands of Kurdistan and continued: “As the youth from Xurmatu we are prepared to spill our blood next to the guerilla to defend this country.”
Ahmet Bekir said all four parts of Kurdistan are their own Qandil and continued: “Erdoğan and the AKP should know that all cities and all homes in Kurdistan are Qandil. Qandil lives inside the people now. Erdoğan is chasing dreams. Kurds should leave party interests aside and form a Kurdish unity in this period of time. Today is to day to act together.”
