HDP Member Nasir Yagiz has been on an unlimited, nonalternating hunger strike for 60 days demanding an end to the isolation imposed upon Kurdish People’s Leader Abdullah Ocalan.
Yagiz spoke to the ANF and said: “I come from a patriotic family. I got to know the organization in 2014. Even though I didn’t know the organization earlier on, I took it as a goal for myself to get to know the philosophy of Kurdish People’s Leader Abdullah Ocalan and in time, this search has added strength to my will.”
“LET’S SUPPORT OCALAN AND GUVEN’S RESISTANCE”
Yagiz said: “When young people, children, mothers and fathers from the Maxmur camp come to visit me I am overwhelmed with joy. Because they give me strength. The people of Maxmur have gone through great pains, but they never shied away from resistance. That is why they give me morale.”
Yagiz called on all Kurdish people to embrace Ocalan and said, “The people must rise up in all parts of Kurdistan, and embrace the hunger strikers resisting in fascism’s dungeons with the spirit of the Rojava Revolution and Leyla Guven’s resistance.”
