Yazidis saved by SDF from ISIS reunite with their families

More Yazidi civilians are rescued by SDF fighters from ISIS captivity.

Seven Yazidi civilians whom Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) fighters rescued from ISIS in the Operation Cizire Storm have reunited with their families in Shengal town of South Kurdistan.

A welcoming ceremony was held for the rescued Yazidis at the condolence tent set up for Yazidi Society Coordination member Zeki Şengalî on Mount Shengal in Serdest region.

Zeki Şengalî, Mam (Uncle) Zeki of the Yazidis, had been assassinated in a Turkish air raid while on his way back from the commemoration of Yazidi civilians who had been murdered in Kocho village of Shengal on August 15, 2014.

After the welcoming ceremony, the rescued civilians were handed over to their families by the Yazidi Free Women’s Movement (TAJÊ) Coordination.

Names of the rescued civilians are;

Xezal Elî and her 4 children from Til Ezêr village

Semîra Emer from Qeseb

Menal Xelat from Herdan
