One of the YBŞ commanders Seîd Hesen Seîd stated that they constitute a part of the Democratic Autonomy Project of Êzidxan and said: "We, as the YBŞ are ready to protect our project with all our might against any attack.”
Shengal Defense Units (YBŞ) Commander Seîd Hesen Seîd spoke to ANHA about the Democratic Autonomy Project of Êzidxan declared in Shengal on August 20.
Seîd started condemning the massacres committed against the Êzidî community so far and said the following regarding the 73rd genocide perpetrated by ISIS against the Êzidîs on August 3, 2014:
“The flight of the KDP Peshmerga and the total lack of any armed force that could defend Shengal, was the main reason why the Êzidî community suffered such a severe genocide. In this regard, the YBŞ has proven to be a highly organised force that is capable of protecting the civil population in the face of any possible attack."
Regarding the Democratic Autonomy Project of Êzidxan, Seîd said the followings: "We, as the Shengal Resistance Units are a part of this project because we are the defense force of Shengal and our fighters are from Shengal. We as YBŞ are ready to protect our project with all our might against the attacks of any state.”
