The yellow-red-green paint of the activity stage in the Kültür (Culture) Park in Van's İpekyolu district has been changed into orange by the state-appointed trustee.
The DBP-held İpekyolu district municipality in Van province had rebuilt the Culture Park and allocated an area in this park for Newroz celebrations and other events.
The municipality also constructed a stage in the activity area, and had it painted in Kurdish national colors yellow-red-green.
The color of the stage has been changed by Van Governor İbrahim Taşyapan who was appointed trustee to Van Metropolitan Municipality with an AKP coup on November 17, 2016.
Following his appointment, the trustee had the paint of the huge stage in the area, where hundreds of thousands welcome Newroz every year, changed. The whole yellow-red-green stage was painted into orange.
