While the curfews in Sur and Cizre continue for over two months now, Şırnak Governorate has declared a curfew on İdil district and Xirabe Şeref (Dirsekli) village today. The curfew in the town and village will go in effect as of 23:00 tonight.
During the past several days, Turkey has dispatched large numbers of police and soldiers to the town of İdil which has been under sporadic attack by Turkish forces for months.
In the meantime, a huge explosion occurred as an armored vehicle passed by Alanya Street earlier today. The blast which caused damage on the houses and shops around was followed by a clash that didn't last long.
Another huge blast has occurred in Yeni neighborhood this morning.
