YJA Star guerrillas in Xakurke: We face a cowardly enemy

YJA Star guerrillas report from Xakurke that they are facing a cowardly enemy and that no technology can break their will.

The resistance of the guerrillas to the invasion of the Turkish army, which has been going on since 23 April in the Medya Defense Areas in South Kurdistan, continues. Two fighters from the YJA Star women's guerrillas spoke to ANF about their resistance to the occupiers in Xakurke.

Nûdem Farqîn reported on an action against the Turkish occupation forces in Xakurke: “We attacked the enemy from two sides, six soldiers were punished. After that, the enemy attacked the guerrillas with drones and combat bombers. In the past, the army started a ground operation after guerrilla actions in order to restrict the guerrillas' freedom of movement. But the enemy doesn't have that strength at the moment. It lacks the courage for hand-to-hand combat. Therefore, it uses any kind of technology."

Guerrilla Farqîn continued: "We don't actually fight against soldiers, but against technology. The Turkish army does not have the courage to face us. War technology is man-made, and it is man who can make it fail. The enemy does not attack us with the most modern weapons technology because they are so strong, but on the contrary, because they are weak. That shows how cowardly they are. Every day, people appear on television claiming that they have destroyed the PKK. Basically, they don't believe in what they are saying themselves. It's all about morally strengthening the soldiers. That is why propaganda is constantly being made with lies. We fight here as women in the Martyr Beritan area with comrade Beritan's spirit of resistance against the enemy."

Dîrok Amed is also part of the resistance against the Turkish attacks on Xakurke. She said: “As a fighter in YJA Star, I take part in the resistance against the enemy in Xakurke. The Turkish state is trying to break our will with its technology. However, the guerrillas forced the enemy to fail. The enemy had launched an operation on Girê Şehîd Kamuran. When YJA Star fighters came to the area, we discovered a surveillance camera and a photo trap installed by the enemy. We destroyed the camera system and confiscated the photo trap. In the photo trap were a SIM card and a memory card. There were photos of Turkish soldiers on it."

Guerrilla Amed continued: "The Turkish state is unable to let its soldiers fight us. It just keeps attacking us with its technology. As guerrillas, we are now able to foil these attacks. No technology can break our will. We are ready to fulfil our tasks. We greet all friends who are currently taking part in the Cenga Xabûrê and Bazên Zagrosê offensives."
