YJA Star strikes Turkish forces in Metina with heavy weapons

Women guerrillas targeted Turkish occupation forces in Metina with heavy weapons. The civilian population in Metina is targeted by artillery fire from the Turkish army.

The women's guerrilla force YJA Star struck the Turkish occupation forces at Girê Kato in the Metina region of southern Kurdistan (northern Iraq) on Saturday with heavy weapons. This was announced by the press center of the People's Defense Forces (HPG) in the daily overview of war events in Kurdistan. The action took place at 5 p.m. on Saturday and the intended target was hit with pinpoint accuracy.

The HPG also provided information about the latest attacks by the Turkish army on Southern Kurdistan. According to the statement, the gardens and cultivated areas of the civilian population in Metina have recently come under artillery fire, especially when people are present there.

In the regions of Avaşîn and Zap, the guerrilla tunnel at Girê Sor was bombed with heavy weapons on Saturday. The battle tunnels in Girê Sor and the Werxelê were struck with explosives four times and the area continues to be monitored by drones.

The Type T area was bombed by attack helicopters for two hours on Saturday night. Last night, the Çemço area in the Zap region was also shelled with howitzers by Turkish border guards.
