YJŞ Commander Rosyar Vejin stated that the ongoing fighting in Shengal was started by KDP after Barzani's recent visit to Turkey, stressing that they will protect their land till the end and won't leave it to the traitors.
Rosyar Vejin, a commander for the Shengal Women's Resistance Units (YJŞ) stated that KDP was enforcing them to leave Shengal, stressing that they liberated Shengal from ISIS by paying a heavy price, and would protect their land to the very end.
Remarking that the fighting was started by KDP forces, Vejin described the aggression as a result of KRG President Masoud Barzani''s recent visit to Turkish capital Ankara.
YJŞ Commander stated the followings: "We abstained from a fighting till the last minute. Still, they came and attacked our checkpoint. Those betraying Rojava are depicted as 'Rojava Peshmergas'. According to reports we have, some others that betrayed Rojava and the freedom movement are also taking place in this fighting."
Vejin stated that this armed group is attacking the civilian settlements in Xanesor and Sİnune areas with mortar, DShK fire and heavy weaponry amid an intensified military deployment of peshmerga forces across the Shengal region. She called upon the people of Shengal to protect their lands and to stand against the traitors.

Rosyar Vejin continued; "We call upon our Êzidî people to unite and protect their lands. Our people should know that we will not leave our land to the traitors and we will protect our people till the end."
