Young people from Shengal have spoken out against the attacks carried out by the occupying Turkish state in Shengal on 15 August and the death of Zeki Şengali, martyred during those attacks.
A member of the Yazidi Society Coordination, Şengali was for young people a teacher. The youngsters said that they would continue the resistance against all kinds of attacks and conspiracies.
Sebiha Sebri said: The testimony of Mam Zeki affected us very much. We will continue to step up our struggle and we will fulfill Mam Zeki's hopes”.
Sebri also said that there is no difference between the Turkish state and DAESH and that the Yazidi people are organized and will be able to cope with any attacks.
Ehmed Berekat underlined that young people will revenge Mam Zeki. "The KDP has betrayed us again. We see the role of the KDP in every conspiracy against Kurds. Yazidi young people will not forgive this conspiracy”.
Berekat acknowledged that the Yazidi community is no longer like before, and will stand up against any attack.
Zehra Sileman said that thousands of Yazdis have been victims of DAESH and the betrayal of the KDP.
“We will not remain silent and we will stand up against these conspiracies and attacks”.
