Young shepherd dies as the result of the explosion of an object in Yüksekova
A young shepherd named Bedrettin Düz lost his life following the explosion of an object in the Kurdish region of Weregoz, in Yüksekova.
An object exploded on Wednesday morning in the Veregoz region in the Doski valley, in the Yüksekova (Gever) district of Hakkari (Colemêrg).
Bedrettin Duzen, a shepherd who was grazing his animals, was seriously injured following the explosion of the object. Düz was transported to Hakkari Hospital where he lost his life.
For decades, the Kurdish regions have become a “dump” for the Turkish army which leaves all kinds of explosives there, including mines which cost the lives of civilians.
