As attack by Turkish state forces against Kurdish civilians continue, 22-year-old youth Agit Yıldız who was shot by police in Amed's Bismil district late yesterday evening, has died.
Yıldız was hit by three bullets as he stood outside his house in Avashin neighborhood, which left him heavily wounded and in a life-threatening condition. He could be taken to Bismil State Hospital thanks to the efforts of the local people as police denied access to ambulances to the scene.
Following an immediate treatment here, the youth was referred to Diyarbakır Gazi Yaşargil Training and Research Hospital where he has lost his life today.
Following declarion of a curfew in the district yesterday evening, police and military forces blockaded Avashin, Rojava and Zap neighborhoods and fired on the inhabitants.
While civilians were also targeted by snipers positioned on high buildings, police fired a bomb into the house of Şimşek family in Avashin (Dumlupınar) neighborhood, which left eight-year-old Elif Şimşek inside dead, and five others from the same family wounded.
