YPG: Attacks by the Turkish army and allied gangs continue

The Turkish army and affiliated gangs continue their attacks on the lands of Northern Syria, which face an immediate response by YPG/YPJ.

YPG (People's Defense Units) Press Office released a statement in which it reported continued attacks and violations by the occupant Turkish army and affiliated gangs on the lands of Northern Syria.

According to the YPG statement, gang groups acting under the command of the Turkish army attacked Kefer Cenê village in Shera district of the Efrîn Canton with mortars in the afternoon of March 9.

In the evening of the same day, Turkish UAVs carried out reconnaissance flights over the western parts of the Kobanê Canton.

On March 11, gangs affiliated with the Turkish army attacked the positions of YPG forces in Efrîn's Belûnê and Merenaz villages with howitzer, mortar and artillery fire, which faced a harsh response by YPG fighters.

On March 13, the same gang groups launched a mortar attack on Belûnê village of Efrîn Canton, to which YPG responded with artillery fire and heavy weaponry.

On March 14, Turkish forces attacked the village of Gormixarê to the west of Kobanê Canton with heavy weaponry and the YPG units in the area responded to the aggression.

On March 15, Turkey backed and affiliated gangs attacked Efrîn Canton's Merenaz and Belûnê villages with howitzer and mortar fire. Concurrently, al-Nusra gangs attacked the Bayê village in Cindirês district with heavy weaponry. YPG forces responded to both attacks.

On March 16, gang groups affiliated with the Turkish army attacked Efrîn Canton's Merenez village with mortars, facing an immediate response by the YPG.
