YPG (People's Defense Units) Press Office released a statement providing details regarding the continued attacks of the Turkish army, allied gangs and ISIS groups on the lands of Rojava.
Accordingly, the Turkish army attacked the YPG positions in Girêsor village to the east of Kobanê with heavy weaponry at the night of March 18, which faced a retaliation in kind by YPG fighters.
At the same night, gangs operating under the command of the Turkish army attacked the YPG positions in Efrîn's Maranez village with mortar and DShK fire.
On March 19, Turkish unmanned aerial vehicles conducted reconnaissance flights over along the western Kobanê border line.
On March 20, gangs commanded by the Turkish army launched a mortar attack on Sêxler town to the southeast of Kobanê from their positions in Jarablus.
At the night of the same day, gangs attacked Efrîn's Maranez village with mortar and artillery fire, which was responded by YPG units.
On March 21, Turkish forces attacked Hemamê, Mele Xelîla and Derbalût villages of Efrîn's Cindrêsê district with heavy weapons and tanks, which left three members of self-defense forces injured. In the afternoon of the same day, Turkish army attacked Efrîn's Maranez village with howitzer and DShK fire.
During the same day, gangs operating under the command of the Turkish army attacked the YPG positions in Aleppo's Sheikh Maqsoud neighborhood from their positions in Kafr Hamra.
Turkish forces continued their attacks during the night and shelled Efrîn's Maranez and Belûnê villages with howitzer and mortar fire, while Turkish UAVs performed reconnaissance flights over along the western Kobanê border line concurrently.
Attacks of the Turkish army were retaliated in kind by YPG fighters.
YPG added that ISIS gangs attacked the YPG positions in East Jenba village close to the Iraqi border on March 19.
