People's Defense Units (YPG) Press Office gave the following information in a statement about continued attacks by the Turkish army and affiliated gang groups against the lands of Rojava, West Kurdistan:
“During the evening hours on March 8, Turkish warplanes flew over the border line to the west of Kobanê.
The same evening, gangs acting under the command of the Turkish army attacked the Maranez village in Efrîn Canton with howitzer and mortar fire.
YPG units immediately responded to the attack and effectively hit the positions of the gangs, which left one member of the gangs dead, as much as clarified.”
