YPG Press Center’s statement is as follows:
“On October 23, in the afternoon and the evening, ISIS gangs attacked our positions in Kurdîşan village to the southeast of the Tişrin Dam in Kobanê. The gangs attempted to infiltrate the areas our forces hold and had to retreat when our forces retaliated against the attacks.
ISIS gangs attempted another attack in the Şemsedîn village in the same region on the same day with a car bomb. The gangs retreated along with the car bomb when our forces intervened.
Meanwhile, the Turkish army continues its attacks on the Northern Syria Federation.
The Turkish army has shown tank and armored vehicle activity along the borderline between Kel Hesenîke village in Tirbespiyê and Endiwêr village in Derik on the night of October 23. During this activity, the Turkish army fired shots into our territory with heavy weapons.
On the same day, the Turkish army has tortured 2 citizens who wanted to cross over to Bakurê Kurdistan through the border, then took them to the Heşişa village between Girê Spî and Serêkaniyê and shot at them. In this incident, the citizen named Îbrahîm Xelîl Kurdo lost his life and the other citizen who was wounded was taken to the hospital by our fighters.
ISIS gangs have carried out an attack to a position of our forces to the east of Eyn Îsa in Gire Spî on October 24. A brief clash broke out when our forces retaliated against the attack. There is no concrete information on the number of casualties from the gangs.”
