YPG: Turkish army and ISIS continue their attacks on Rojava

YPG Media Center reported that Turkish army and ISIS gangs continue their attacks on Rojava uninterrupted.

Releasing a written statement on the ongoing attacks on Rojava (West) Kurdistan, YPG Media Center said ISIS gangs conducted an aggression from two sides targeting the Şexler town of Kobanê from their positions in Jarablus on 4 August morning and evening.

YPG said Turkish army continued their attacks on Rojava-Northern Syria Federation lands, reporting that Turkish forces hit the Ziyaret village to the west of Kobanê with heavy weapons on 4 August night.

YPG Media Center announced that SNC affiliated gang groups Sultan Murad Brigade, Ahrar Al-Sham, 16th Battalion, Al-Fetih Brigade, Sultan Mihemed Al Fetih Brigade, Al Mucahidin Army, Suwar Al-Sham, Ahrar Suruye, Jabhat Al Shamiye, Siqor Al Jabal, 101th Battalion, Foc Alewal, Jabhat Al-Turkmen, Ebû Emera Battalion, Al Islam Army, Festeqim Kema Emert Group, 13th Brigade, Al Shemaliye Battalion and Nûreddîn Zenkî Brigade continue their joint attacks on Aleppo’s Sheikh Maqsoud neighborhood.

As part of these attacks, gang groups carried out an attack from the Pino village to the south of Sheikh Maqsoud neighborhood last night. YPG units responded to the attack which resulted in clashes. One military vehicle belonging to the gangs was damaged during the fighting but the results of the strike couldn't be clarified.

YPG added that ISIS gangs attacked Azaz village of Shaddadi with heavy weapons from 21:00 to 22:00 on August 4.
