Gang groups affiliated to the so-called Syrian National Coalition attacked Merenaz and Fîlat Qadî villages of Efrîn's Shera district at around 19:30 yesterday evening. Turkish troops supported the gangs with artillery fire.
People's/Women's Defense Units (YPG/YPJ) harshly retaliated against the gang groups and the following clashes continued for 5 hours, during which the gangs suffered a heavy blow and were forced to flee.
YPG officials stated that many gang members were killed and one armored vehicle belonging to them was destroyed during the fighting.
