YPS (Civil Defense Units) Press Office released a statement on their website, stating that their forces carried out an action on the house of AKP's youth branch chairperson in Doğubayazıt, and burned a vehicle transporting supplies for soldiers in Şemdinli.

The statement of the YPS Press Office is as follows:

"At 21.00 on 12 August, one of our YPS units fired a hand grenade into the house of AKP Youths Branch Chairperson in Doğubayazıt district of Ağrı. While the house was inflicted damage, our YPS unit returned safely to their base.

On the other hand, a person named Cemal Elmas, from the Helena village in Hakkari's Şemdinli district, transported supplies with his personal vehicle to the Turkish soldiers constructing a new military outpost on Helena Hill.  At 02.30 on 11 August, one of our YPS units burned the vehicle of this person in front of his house as a warning."
