The Eastern Kurdistan Units (YRK) released a statement providing information about the consequences of two separate attacks that claimed the lives of four guerrillas in their ranks.

According to the YRK, a guerrilla fighter was injured following a Turkish airstrike in the Asos region of Sharbajar on September 29 and lost his life on October 5.

The identity information of the fallen YRK fighter is as follows:

First-Last Name: Hiseyin Rehmeti

Nom de Guerre: Sirwan Sine

Date and Place of Martyrdom: 2022-Asos

“Guerrilla Sîrwan Sine was born in 1989 into a patriotic family in Tengiser village of Jawero. He decided to join the guerrilla troops in 2008 after the martyrdom of six guerrillas in Qandil.  Our comrade Sine, who made rapid strides with the guerrilla, joined the battle in Qandil with Commander Simko Serhildan in 2011 and gained a lot of experience. He was always known to be a hardworking fighter. Thanks to his candid and honest engagement, he became a genuine Apoist militant in a short time. With his personal development, he spearheaded guerrilla warfare by putting up a strong stance against the enemy.

We offer condolences to Sine's family and the people of Kurdistan. We believe that our people will claim their martyrs, and the youth of East Kurdistan will avenge our heroic martyr by waging a struggle in the path of martyrs. We, as the Eastern Kurdistan Units, promise to follow in the footsteps of martyrs and to take their revenge so as to claim the efforts and values created by our comrades,” the YRK said.

THREE GUERILLAS MARTYRED ON OCTOBER 29

YRK reported that three of their fighters were martyred following a Turkish drone attack in the Asos area on October 29.

“As our people and the public well know, since the uprisings in East Kurdistan and Iran began, the invaders have escalated their attacks against our forces and our people. The Iranian regime is openly killing protestors. Following the women-led uprisings in East Kurdistan and Iran, the invading Turkish state has increased its attacks on guerrilla areas. We believe that these attacks are carried out thanks to cooperation between Turkey and Iran. We will stand by our people against the attacks. We will never take a step back in the face of the Turkish attacks and we will continue our struggle against the invaders,” stressed the Eastern Kurdistan Units.

On October 29, reconnaissance planes attacked two different areas of Asos. Our friends Serhed, Dilovan and Bager were martyred following the attacks. We will soon release the identity information of all three martyrs.
