Eastern Kurdistan Defense Units (YRK) guerrillas Şahin Agirî and Tolhildan Çilçeme spoke about the 23rd anniversary of the international conspiracy carried out against Kurdish people's leader Abdullah Öcalan.

Guerrilla Şahin Agirî said that after the conspiracy, the Kurdish people in Rojhilat were left without a leader for 15 years until the establishment of PJAK, and added: "Our people in Rojhilat know how painful the lack of leadership is. On the day Rêber Apo [Abdullah Öcalan] was kidnapped as a result of an international conspiracy, self-sacrificing actions were carried out in Rojhilat. 50 people died. I especially pay tribute to our martyrs who carried out this sacrifice action. We condemn the plot against Rêber Apo and the Kurdish people."

Guerrilla Agirî added: "We will strengthen and expand our movement against this conspiracy. The greatest response to the conspiracy forces is to join the guerrilla ranks, fight and thwart the conspiracy. Let them know that the Kurdish people will never give up on their leader. The Kurdish people, especially our people in Rojhilat, have seen the pain and suffering caused by the lack of leadership. Everyone tried to take us to their side. Turks wanted to make us Turks, Persians wanted to make us Persians, and Arabs wanted to make us Arabs. However, with the philosophy and ideology of our Leader, the education and organization developed among the people, we managed to thwart all these attempts."

Emphasizing that the enemy wants to continue the international conspiracy, guerrilla Şahin Agirî also called on women and young people. "The enemy wants to break the will of the Kurdish people by perpetuating the conspiracy. However, everyone knows how strong the thought and philosophy of our Leader are. Today in Xakurke, Zap and Metina' our comrades are waging a war against the enemy with the strength they derive from the Leader's philosophy. I call on women and young people to protect Rêber Apo because this means to protect the identity and will of the Kurdish people."

We must increase the struggle and free our Leader

YRK guerrilla Tolhildan Çilçeme said that the International Conspiracy did not only put Kurdish people's leader Öcalan in prison on 15 February 1999, but it put the entire Kurdish people in prison. Guerrilla Çilçeme said that they are waging a struggle in the mountains of Kurdistan today, and added: "We are resisting for the freedom of both the Leader and the Kurdish people in the mountains of Kurdistan. A society cannot stand without a leader. As Kurds, we have a leader. Therefore, we must protect Rêber Apo and we must raise the fight against the occupying forces even more. "

Guerrilla Çilçeme added: "The resistance in Imrali is spreading all over the country. Every Kurd must transform the area he/she lives in into an area of ​​resistance. It is the duty of Kurdish youths to break isolation against Rêber Apo. Therefore, young people should join the freedom struggle. We must free our Leader. He must live among us. This is so important for us."
