In its written statement, the YRK said, "On January 7, 2021, our comrade Hemze Rojhilat was martyred in an incident while he was in charge of his revolutionary duties.”

The statement continued: “We extend our condolences to our family and all our patriotic people. Heval (comrade) Hemze Rojhilat grew up in a patriotic family. He joined the guerrilla ranks as a patriotic youth from Rojhilat (Eastern Kurdistan). In his revolutionary life, he was known for his courage and dedication among his friends. With his youthful spirit, he fulfilled every task he was assigned to. He was the epitome of dedication and courage among his friends. We, as his comrades of struggle, reiterate our promise to all martyrs and pledge that we will follow their path to the end. We will fight for the freedom of our country and the revenge of our martyrs until the last drop of our blood.”
