The YRK announced that a patriotic young man named Muhammed Seyit was martyred in an attack carried out by the Turkish state in the Asos region.
The Press and Liaison Centre of the East Kurdistan Defence Units (YRK) made a statement regarding the airstrike carried out by the Turkish state in the Asos region on 13 April.
The YRK statement said that 3 houses in the village of Gelale in Sharbajar region were attacked by warplanes. A young patriot named Muhammed Seyit, who came to the village from Sulaymaniyah to support his family, was martyred as a result of the attack, which also left all the three houses demolished.
YRK noted that the attack was carried out on the anniversary of the Anfal genocide and stated the following: "We commemorate all Anfal martyrs in the person of the Kurdish youngster Muhammad Sayed and strongly condemn the attack. This is not the first attack carried out by the occupying Turkish state against civilians. The aim of these attacks is to depopulate the villages in the region. However, despite all the attacks and massacres, our people insist on remaining in their lands."
The statement concluded: "As the East Kurdistan Defence Units, we express our condolences to the family of the young patriot Muhammed Seyid and to all the patriotic people of Kurdistan."
