109 teachers ready for Kurdish lessons in Manbij

The Kurdish Language Institute in Manbij stated that 109 teachers are ready to give lessons in Kurdish language at schools.

Besides Arabic, Kurdish classes will also be available in Manbij in the new school year.

The Manbij Kurdish Language Institute (Saziya Zimanê Kurdî) administrator Îlham Etaş stated that they have prepared 109 teachers for Kurdish lessons.

Îlham Etaş said this number will not be sufficient for all schools though, because of which the teachers will be assigned to the schools in the city center in the first place. SZK administrator remarked that everyone who demands to receive Kurdish lessons will be provided with this opportunity in Manbij.

In addition, the Institute will continue preparing more teachers to give Kurdish lessons, as part of which the second education cycle will start for teachers next week. Every cycle will be attended by 20 teacher candidates.

Democratic Society Education Committee KPD-C Co-chair Suhêl Walî had announced before that 3600 teachers would be assigned to a total of 340 schools in Manbij where children were deprived of education for three years under ISIS occupation.

Suhêl Walî had said that pupils will be given Arabic, English, Mathematics and Sport lessons from the first to the sixth class.
