YPG (People's Defense Units) Press Centre reported in a written statement about the ongoing fighting in Kobanê town of West Kurdistan, Rojava, that attacks by ISIS gangs to occupy Kobanê continued yesterday on the 65th day. The statement said YPG/YPJ units were continuing their operations against the ISIS groups in and outside Kobanê.

On the eastern front of Kobanê, fighting raged out between YPG forces and ISIS groups for a short time. According to what has been confirmed for these clashes, 3 gang members were killed in the Southeast Kobanê. YPG units yesterday conducted an operation against the ISIS groups positioned between the villages of Sheikh Topal and Helinj 4 km in Southeast Kobanê. A vehicle of the gangs was destroyed and 2 members of theirs were killed.

On the southern front, YPG forces launched patrol processes in the areas that were liberated earlier from the terrorists, a number of weapons and ammunition were captured, and several explosive devices were defused.

YPG forces also carried out several operations against the ISIS gangs in the West of Kobanê. In the Mazra village 5 km West Kobanê, YPG units destroyed a vehicle, killed 8 gang members, and injured another one. After this campaign, ISIS gangs attempted to attack on YPG positions, yet YPG forces were able to effectively repel the offensive.
