14 gang members killed in clashes with Burkan Al Fırat

Clashes between inhuman gangs now calling themselves the Islamic State and the 'Joint Action Centre' Burkan Al Fırat have taken place in south, west and east Kobanê.

The Joint Action Centre has recently been established by the YPG, the defence force of Rojava (West Kurdistan), the Free Syrian Army (FSA) and certain other armed opposition groups against ISIS in the Euphrates area. "Burkan Al Firat", set up to fight the gangs of "Al Baghdadi" (ISIS chief), includes the following forces: Liwa Al Tawhid (East branch), Liwa Al Siwar Al Raka, Shams Al Shamal brigades linked to the Fajir Al Huriye brigades, People's Defence Units (YPG), YPJ, Seraya Jarablus, Liwa Japhat Al-Akrad, Siwar Umunaa Al Raka, Al Kasas Army and Liwa Al Cihad Fi Sebilillah.

According to the reports of an ANHA news agency correspondent on the ground, Burkan Al Fırat forces carried out an action targeting the ISIS positions between the villages of Xirab Eto and Zormixar to the west of Kobanê last night.

Fighters of the Joint Action Centre inflicted a heavy blow on ISIS gangs, killing 14 members of theirs, including an amir (leader), and destroying a tank and three military vehicles in clashes.

Separate clashes broke out between YPG forces and ISIS gangs in the villages of Talik, Jab Al-Ferec, Dugirman and Boraz to the west of Kobanê. Clashes in which ISIS gangs are using heavy weaponry are reported to be continuing in the Talik village.

Clashes are also reported to have erupted around the villages of Serzorî, Cirin, Kopirlik, Bîrkêtik, Saronc and Qizelî in east Kobanê. Clashes in which ISIS gangs have suffered a number of casualties are reported to be continuing.

In south Kobanê, ISIS gangs have launched mortar and howitzer attacks on the Martyr Xabûr hill and Caadê village. Clashes broke out as Burkan Al Fırat forces immediately responded to the attack yesterday evening, and lasted till Tuesday morning.
