Police forces carried out house raids in Istanbul, Amed (Diyarbakır) and Manisa provinces last night and this morning.

At least 14 people have been taken into custody in the operation.

The detainees include Peoples’ Democratic Party (HDP) MP candidate for Zonguldak province in the June 24 elections.

Those detained in Amed and Istanbul will be taken to Manisa.

The reason for the detentions is not known yet as there is a confidentiality order on the investigation file.
