15 ISIS members killed in Burkan Al Fırat's operation

Burkan Al Fırat, a Joint Action Centre newly established against ISIS in the Euphrates area, has carried out its first operation against inhuman jihadist gangs in Kobanê.

According to a statement by YPG Press Centre, the operation targeted the ISIS gangs deployed around the Karakozat bridge near the village of Karakozat south to Kobanê on Thursday. At least 15 gang members were killed and a vehicle of theirs was destroyed in the operation by the 'Joint Action Centre'.

The "Burkan Al Fırat" group, the aim of which is to liberate areas under ISIS control, has been founded by the YPG, the defence force of Rojava (West Kurdistan), the Free Syrian Army (FSA) and certain other armed opposition groups.

The foundation of the 'Action Centre' was proclaimed at a military ceremony in Kobanê yesterday.

"Burkan Al Fırat", set up to fight the gangs of "Al Baghdadi" (ISIS chief), includes the following forces: Liwa Al Tawhid (East branch), Liwa Al Siwar Al Raka, Shams Al Shamal brigades linked to the Fajir Al Huriye brigades, People's Defence Units (YPG), YPJ, Seraya Jarablus, Liwa Japhat Al-Akrad, Siwar Umunaa Al Raka, Al Kasas Army and Liwa Al Cihad Fi Sebilillah.
