The Public Prosecutor’s Office has opened an investigation against 168 people, including 112 students, who attended a press conference about the 10 Kurdistan Workers’ Party (PKK) members who lost their live in Þýrnak’s Uludere district some weeks ago. The conference was organized by the Peace and Democracy Party (BDP) Denizli District Organization.
The Public Prosecutor’s Office also opened an investigation into 46 people who attended a protest march in Urfa’s Ceylanpýnar district. The demonstration took place after the People’s Assembly made “the decision to accelerate the establishment of democratic autonomy” on June 6. Among those under investigation are BDP District Chair, district administrators, city council members and private citizens.
