17 people were detained on their way to Taksim for Workers’ Day
17 people were detained as they tried to reach Taksim Square where they intended to celebrate 1 May, Workers’ Day.
The Federation of the Socialist Youth Associations (SGDF) members who gathered in Beşiktaş and intended to walk to Taksim to celebrate Workers’ Day, were detained by police.
The 10 activists taken into custody were taken to the Provincial Security Directorate.
On a different accident seven people who wanted to walk from Şişli Cevahir Shopping Mall to Taksim were also taken into custody by the police.
