18 ISIS members killed, more civilians rescued in Raqqa

SDF fighters repelled the attacks ISIS launched in an effort to break the siege on Dariyah and Mirûr neighborhoods that have been surrounded by the SDF.
YPG-led Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) are making further advances in their ongoing ‘Great Battle’ to liberate Raqqa city from ISIS.
After SDF fighters surrounded the Dariyah and Mirûr neighborhoods, ISIS gangs launched an attack to break the siege on the neighborhoods.
SDF forces thwarted the ISIS’ attempt, as result of which 18 ISIS members were killed.
SDF fighters also rescued 18 civilians, of whom 8 are children and 6 are women. The freed inhabitants of Raqqa have been provided with food and water, and transferred to safe areas.
Fighting continues in both neighborhoods.
