The operation launched by YPG-led Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) to liberate Raqqa from ISIS occupation continues in its 67th day. SDF fighters are delivering heavy blows to the gangs.
In Old Town Raqqa east of the city, 13 ISIS members were killed during last night’s heavy clashes, and one military vehicle of the gangs was destroyed.
In Hisham Bin Abdulmalik neighbourhood, 6 ISIS members were killed in brief clashes and SDF fighters destroyed a bomb-laden vehicle set to be detonated among the SDF forces.
5 more ISIS members were killed in the fighting south of Nazlat Shehade neighbourhood, and 8 others in brief clashes in al-Barid neighbourhood.
