SDF fighters have delivered heavy blows to the ISIS gangs in three neighborhoods of Raqqa where they are making further advances. 4 bomb-laden vehicles were destroyed and 35 ISIS members were killed in clashes.
YPG-led SDF fighters have cleared 90 percent of the Hisham Bin Abdulmalik neighborhood of Raqqa. In an attempt to stop the SDF's advance, ISIS gangs launched attacks with three suicide groups and two bomb-laden vehicles. All their attacks were repelled and both vehicles have been destroyed, while 19 ISIS members were killed here.
In the neighborhood of al-Barid northwest of the city, the gangs attacked SDF positions with two groups and two bomb-laden vehicles. In a strong and immediate retalition of the SDF fighters, both vehicles were destroyed and 5 ISIS members were killed.
In the Rawda neighborhood northeast of Raqqa, 3 ISIS groups that included suicide bombers attacked the SDF positions. During ensuing clashes, 11 ISIS members were killed and one DShK-mounted vehicle of theirs was destroyed.
Fierce clashes continue in Hisham Bin Abdulmalik and Rawda neighborhoods.
